Robin agreed to finish replacing the Opti-Spark and her service department immediately did so....I received a call later
that week stating that my water pump had to be replaced - I said, "OK, no problem, replace it..."
I then, in early May, received a call from Robin stating that the Opti-Spark had been replaced but that the engine still
wouldn't start...HMMMM...so, let me get this straight, the engine had compression when I brought it in the first time,
but after you replaced the Opti-Spark there was no compression - what does this make you think?
In any case, Robin quickly suggested that they take the "front half" of the motor apart, again, to check the timing chain...To
anyone who knows anything about engines, this is completely insane - you suggest with 100% certainty that the Opti-Spark is
the culprit, have everything already off, replace Opti-Spark and then say it's not the timing chain....Sound Fishy? Indeed,
many other mechanics thought so....
